Early Childhood (Age 3 to Kindergarten)

Wooster School’s Early Childhood program provides an environment abundant in play, exploration, learning, and social interaction.   Our Three year old, Pre-Kindergarten (4 year olds), and Kindergarten are developmental programs that focus on the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of each child.  Our classrooms are carefully designed to promote “active learning”.  Active learning means that the children spend most of their time engaged in “hands-on” activities, dialogue and discussion constructing their own knowledge and understanding of the world around them.  In the classrooms, teachers work as facilitators and guides of the children’s learning.

What better place to encourage children’s natural curiosity than Wooster School’s beautiful campus, with its exceptional facilities, resources, and educators.  Led by specialists in their fields, our students participate in art, introductory Spanish, library, movement, music, physical education, and story-time chapel.
