Yesterday Dave MacNutt, our Athletic Director and coach extraordinaire, accomplished a unique milestone in his illustrious career as a coach at Wooster School. As the Danbury News Times headline in the sports section this morning stated, Dave has joined the 700 Win Club.

Not only is this significant for any coach in his career, but is particularly meaningful given the long-term commitment Dave has made to Wooster's athletic program and numerous coaching assignments beyond his beloved basketball program. While Dave is quick to give credit to his players, I would be remiss if I did not say that Dave is a remarkable motivator who exacts the very best out of all his teams. He simply wills them to a level that they did not think they could achieve.

I hope all of you join me in congratulating Dave and this year's Girls' Varsity Basketball Team on their undefeated season to date. The entire Hudson Valley Athletic League knows that facing Dave MacNutt teams is not an easy task, as yesterday's 21 point win over Marvelwood proves.

Congratulations to Dave and to all his teams over the years.
